Multi-Step Equations Gone Fishin' Game
This is a super fun PowerPoint game for students to practice solving simple two-step equations to complex multi-step equations. Students can either aim for the fish with a Koosh Ball (if playing with a Smart Board), or come up to the computer to select a fish. The fish really do swim around the screen, so it's a lot of fun and the kids love it. The types of problems are as follows:
Red Fish: Two-Step Equations
Yellow Fish: Distribute/Combine Like Terms (variables on same side)
Green Fish: Variables on Both Sides
Blue Fish: Distribute/Combine/Variables on Both Sides
There are 44 total problems, with 11 of each kind. Once a problem is selected, students write it down on their recording sheet. Once you click "Answer", they can check their answer.
