This scavenger hunt with QR codes is a fun group activity! Print the answer cards with QR codes and display them around the room. Group students and pass out the recording worksheets (each group starts with a different problem). Students must solve the first equation and scan the correct QR code to get to the next problem. They continue this process until they've solved all 10 problems. Several "answer cards" are actually common incorrect answers and will direct them to try again.
Students will need to be able to use the distributive property, combine like terms, and solve equations with variables on both sides. Solutions include positive and negative integers and one fractional solution. Special solutions (no solution and infinite solutions) are NOT included in this activity.
