This is a great quick exercise for getting students out of their seats, interacting with each other and new material! There are 27 multi-step equations with variables on both sides that require solving. Cut out the cards and give each student their own equation. (Laminate them for prolonged use! ) They should walk around the room and quiz each other with their equation. After they quiz each other they trade and quiz someone new!
Some equations require using the distributive property and combining like terms and others do not. This will allow you to differentiate among those students that could use a challenge and those that need just basic practice. You could also have students keep their own equation card and become the "master" of their equations. This option encourages them to help their fellow classmates when/if they get stuck. Answer Key included.
QQT's can be used a variety of ways. Use them as a whole class activity, or in small groups as a pass and practice, use them in station work, or as bell ringers/exit tickets.
