Multi-Step Inequalities Notes and Partner Activity

This product includes notes with practice problems on solving and graphing multi-step inequalities. There are two version of the notes, one where students also write answers in interval notation, and another where they do not. (Only my honors students did interval notation).

In addition, there is a partner Tic-Tac-Toe activity. Students work in pairs to practice solving and graphing multi-step inequalities. There are again two versions, one with interval notation and one without.

Directions:

I pair the students up and have them choose to be X or O. I give out one board per pair and have them take out their own piece of paper as well. They each choose one problem to solve on their paper. They look for their answer on the board, graph it, write their answer in interval notation, and put an X or O in the corner. Then, they choose two new problems and so on. They win if they get 4 in a row, column, or diagonal. So it's kind of a mix between Tic-Tac-Toe and Connect 4.

They enjoyed this one! It definitely kept them engaged.
