Description

Included are 4 nonsense word practice sheets and 4 pages of real words. Both sets can be used to help your students understand that nonsense words are part of real words. They could be used in a small group or independently.

It is suggested that you highlight the nonsense word or small real word inside the 2 syllable words. This will help them to make that connection and read these words more fluently. If students can quickly read “bas,” then they will be able to read “basket.”
