Product Description
This packet is based on the Layer One Sounds of the Orton Gillingham Phonics First Program. It is a Digraph Packet that focuses on learning digraphs [ch, sh, th, wh, -ck, qu] in CVC words. It was created to meet the needs of my students to build phonemic awareness, and hopefully will help your students as well!

The Multi-sensory Activities and Dictation Packets for Digraphs contains:

1.) Table of Content – This set of Multi-sensory Activities was developed to take place over 10 weeks. This is only a suggestion. The activities can be used at a quicker or slower pace depending on your students needs.

2.) Key Word Picture Cards – Each digraph sound starts with a Key Word Picture Card. These can be printed, laminated, and hung up as a learning tool for your students. The Key Word Picture is used to help students associate the sound each digraph makes to the picture and word.

3.) Dictation Booklet – Each digraph has a Dictation Booklet. The booklet contains a cover page, words that start with page, and 10 days worth of dictation pages. For daily dictation, select 2 CVC words containing the vowel you are focusing on and a simple sentence for students to pound and tap out. For example, Day 1 Dictation Words are: chip and chat. The Sentence is: The chip is big.

4.) Multi-sensory Activity Directions – Each activity starts with a set of procedures on how to complete the Multi-sensory Activity. These directions also include suggestions for differentiated instruction.

5.) Multi-sensory Activities – These reproducible activities are hands on. They include a variety of skills, such as cutting, gluing, and the introduction of CVC words.

6.) Independent Practice Pages – These reproducible activities are differentiated. Choose from the following activities: My Little Book of ___, Color the CVC Pictures, Color a Word, Trace or Write the Missing Digraph, Word Sorting, Matching, and Read the Room
