Would you like to utilize more technology in your social studies class? These multimedia text sets cover 27 topics for grades 3-5. Each card contains links for videos, games, and interactive activities that will help your students truly understand social studies topics. At the bottom of each card is a question that asks them to explain something that they learned.
Most activities require flash, so they cannot be used on tablets. Also, most topics require the ability to watch youtube videos at school.
You will need to print out a student passport, which is a booklet to keep track of their work. Students will keep this booklet until they complete each of the 27 cards (or however many you decide to use based on your grade level).
This set of 27 cards can be used in two ways:
- You can use them to introduce social studies concepts in your classroom.
- You can use them in a social studies center. Simply pull up the pack and have students work on the pages individually. Perfect for early finishers if you have a couple of computers in your classroom!
