Product Description
This is a 15 question multiple choice/short answer quiz to accompany Martin Ginsberg's famous NY Times article, "Thirty-Eight Who Saw Murder Didn't Call the Police." The text is easily "googled" if it's not in your school's textbooks. My students are extremely intriqued by this piece, and I always have a lively conversation about social responsibility with the students after they take the quiz.
The state standards covered in this activity:
SW read and analyze non-fiction.
SW identify format, text structure, and main idea.
SW explain purpose between author's style, purpose, and literary effect.
Enjoy!
