Do your students have trouble knowing the Multiples of numbers through 100? My students did, because we only talk about it in one chapter of their math textbook. Students need time to learn things and in today's world they aren't given the time to master concepts. To help my students learn factors and multiples, I pair these multiple markers with my paw print number cards. I use these markers as part of my Every Day Counts Calendar Math program. In the 4th grade we use these markers to identify multiples of 2-9 on our number line. Everyday we do our calendar math and we talk about what day of school it is. We go through the divisibility rules from 2-9 and we mark that number with the appropriate symbol. My students are much better at knowing whether a number is prime or composite as well because of this daily activity that takes just moments each day.
