Your students will have fun reviewing the concept of multiple meaning words with this fun, Reading Rotators game. This game is played similar to Scoot.
Lay out all 16 task cards. Each card has two sentences. The students have to read the sentences and determine if the underline word in both sentences have the same meaning, or if they have a different meaning.
The students then write down their answers on the "fill in the answer sheet" and when they finish, they pair up with another student to check their work.
This game takes approximately 40 minutes to play. All students answer all 16 task cards as they move about the room. This game is best suited for third or fourth grades, but even could be used for some advanced second grade students with a higher reading vocabulary.
