Worksheets & Activities included:

(15) Vocabulary Joust: Student comes up with 5 ways to use each target word in order to win “the joust”. Student may provide definitions, or provide idiomatic expressions or common sayings in which the target word can be used.

(5) King & Queen of Multiple Meanings: The student will complete each sentence under the queen by choosing the correct multiple meaning word from the column under the king. Each word will be used (4) times. (2) multiple meaning words are targeted per worksheet.
+ (5)Answer keys for King & Queen of Multiple Meanings provided.

(4) Spinster-a-Story: The student will write a short story/ paragraph about a given topic. In the story, the student must use the (2) suggested multiple meaning words (2) times each.

(8) Total Pages of Multiple Meaning Word Cards + Definitions/ Meanings Cards (Target words listed above + 1 open-ended provided): cut out and laminate. Then, use with (2) “slide through’ folding pages. See full instructions on next two pages.

Multiple Meaning Castle Cross-off: The student will read each multiple meaning word, and cross off the definition(s) that do NOT define it.

(2) Get to the Castle Games (1 is low ink; 1 is in color): The student must think of at least (3) ways each word can be used

(4) Roll-the-Dice: Multiple, Multiple Medieval Meanings: Each time you roll a number on the dice, student must come up with a new definition/ saying for a given multiple meaning word. If your student lands on (6), student must say one of the medieval sayings provided. The goal is to roll and cross off all of the numbers for each given word.
