Do you have students who say /d/ at the start of words for multiple phonemes? If so, this product is for you! This product uses the Multiple Oppositions approach to contrast a wide variety of phonemes with the phoneme a student is producing. Multiple Oppositions is an evidence based intervention that is ideal for students who have moderate-severe speech sound disorders resulting in unintelligible speech. Often times, students who are very unintelligible will collapse multiple phonemes into one phoneme, (e.g. t/b/p/m/f/s/sh may all be /d/). Multiple Opposition intervention contrasts words by introducing words that are different (in place, manner, voicing) to the child’s substitute. Traditionally, up to four target words are chosen for each contrastive set (e.g. do; Sue/Shoe/glue/who).
