This activity teaches students different ways to solve the same multiplication problem. It gives an example of using a picture and number line to show multiplication as repeated addition. It also models the distributive property and cross line multiplication. This is great for differentiated classrooms because it allows students to choose what works best for them. I have kept this activity in Microsoft Word so you can all adjust this according to your student's needs. I use it as a reminder of the different styles of solving multiplication problems. I also laminated them and have the students show their work with dry erase markers.
