This is a great resource that can be used in many ways. You can use these mats for addition, multiplication, subtraction and division practice. You can print on card stock and laminate to re-use with dry erase markers for a center. You can also give students small objects such as erasers, M&Ms, or beads to use on the mats. Use in a center, group work, homework, or independent work. Ask students to write down the multiples of each number (ex: multiples of 4 are 1, 2, 4), or create word problems after solving on the mat. Possibilities are endless!
So for example, 4 has 4 circles.
They can put all the beads in one circle to represent 1 group of 4, or 1X4=4.
Or two beads in two circles, 2 groups of 2, or 2X2.
Or 1 bead in each circle, 4 groups of 1, or 4X1.
Multiples of 4 are 1,2,4.
