This activity will be just what you need to supplement your unit and help make multiples of 10 hands-on! Connecting multiples of 10 to money will help students to see how this skill is applied in real life. :)
The first page has simple problems to help students create equal groups. On these problems, I list how many groups are needed, as well as how many are in each group. I also have the first problem modeled to help get them started.
The second page has more word problems with real-life application where they have to simulate the scenario in their head and figure out what represents the groups/# in each group.
**In this activity, dime manipulatives will be needed! You may have money kits through your school, but you could also get real change!**
