Multiplication Comparison-Describe a Multiplication Expression as a Comparison
This animated PowerPoint presentation includes 20 animated slides which construct the understanding that 3 x 24 can be represented as 3 times as much as 24. Students interact with the presentation by practicing word problems on their marker boards or with paper and pencil.
Practice Pages are included to help assess this concept.
A foldable graphic organizer is also included to be used as a component of the math notebook.
The text in the presentation can be easily and quickly edited. The slides were designed with both 3rd grade Texas Standards and 4th grade Common Core standards in mind. 4th grade teachers of Common Core can delete or edit one small portion of the TEK text on the first page and easily adjust products to be greater than 100.
Please see the preview for more details. (The preview may look a bit text heavy without the animation but often text will fade as other information is revealed.)
