This set of hands-on multiplication activities will get your students practicing multiplication facts up to 12x12 while they have fun cutting and pasting.

Your students will review multiplication facts within 144 in three different ways:

  • answering multiplication facts
  • sorting multiplication facts by the missing factor
  • sorting multiplication facts into true and false

These engaging multiplication activities will give your students the multiplication practice they need to develop multiplication fact fluency. They will be motivated and excited to practice multiplication facts with these cut and paste activities.

You’ll also receive a digital version of each activity. Instead of cutting and pasting, students will complete the activities by dragging moveable pieces (the numbers or facts) to the correct spaces. The digital activities can be assigned using the Easel by TpT Tool.

These cut and paste activities are also great for supporting students who need a little extra practice in order to develop multiplication fact fluency.

This set of cut and paste activities is recommended for second grade, third grade and fourth grade but may be suitable for children in other year levels. Please download the preview to determine if this activity is suitable for your students.

Determine the unknown whole number in a multiplication or division equation relating three whole numbers. For example, determine the unknown number that makes the equation true in each of the equations 8 × ? = 48, 5 = __ ÷ 3, 6 × 6 = ?.
Fluently multiply and divide within 100, using strategies such as the relationship between multiplication and division (e.g., knowing that 8 × 5 = 40, one knows 40 ÷ 5 = 8) or properties of operations. By the end of Grade 3, know from memory all products of two one-digit numbers.
