This activity can be used either on the smartboard or printed on paper.
The story problems were created to practice multiplication and division strategies. The story problems were duplicated with blank lines for the teacher to fill in their students' names.
The last story problem slide was created either for the teacher to model or for a gifted/high achieving student. Students were paired off and given one of the story problems. They were to check the work of the story problem and prove if the story problem was solved correctly or incorrectly. Students had to show their work and write a sentence explaining their thoughts. Students had to show their work, even if they story problem was solved correctly, to prove how they knew it was correct.
