This winter themed multiplication game helps beginning multipliers work on facts 1 - 6. Each player places 10 counters on their side of the board. Players take turns rolling two dice and multiplying the numbers. If the player has a counter on the product the counter is removed. First player to clear their side of the board is the winner. Players can place the counters on any numbers they chose, placing more than one counter on a number is acceptable. The game also helps students practice probability. Students will soon learn that putting a counter on 1 requires a roll of 1 x 1 whereas a 12 can be rolled with 2 x 6, 6 x 2, 4 x 3 or 3 x 4.
The download contains the game board and directions. Students play in pairs. You will need to provide dice and counters (I use beans).
