“Factor Scoop” is a fun game and craftivity to help your students practice finding factors of numbers. This skill is necessary for understanding multiplication and prepares students for fractions operations.
Included is a game where students build ice cream scoops on cones showing factors sets of numbers. This can be a whole class game or a small group or individual game.
There is also a craftivity where students choose a number for their cone and then write factors on scoops to build their own factor set. These make great posters, room, and bulletin board displays, as well as reference tools for students. A worksheet is included to help students determine the factor set of their chosen number.
