Students can have a blast practicing their multiplication facts while capturing flies on the spider web!
• Contents and Preparation: Spider Web Gameboard (cut and laminate), 12 spider game pieces (cut and laminate), 10 flies to win (cut and laminate)
• Additional materials needed for the game: 2 dice
• Game Overview: The goal of the game is to be the won who wins the most flies. Each student places his/her game piece (a spider) on the outside of his/her “spider lane”. One fly is placed in the center of the web. The students roll the dice, multiply the 2 dice together, if they are correct, they get to move forward a spot in their lane (or forward 2 or back 1 depending on what they roll). The first student to reach the fly (8 spots) wins that round and gets to keep the fly. Another fly is then placed in the middle of the web for the next round (total of 10 flies/rounds; however, teachers may reduce the total rounds if desired).
Great for the Fall season as well as any time of the year when the students want to get into a sticky situation!
