Learning the sevens, eights, and nines multiplication facts can be tough! Students can use their creativity to memorize the multiplications facts using a rhyming comic strip. This is great for visual and verbal learners, and the rhyme also helps auditory learners. There is a sample page, a blank comic frame with rhymes to illustrate, and a blank comic frames without rhymes for even more creativity. If your students love diary of a wimpy kid, they will enjoy getting to draw their own adventure as they learn their math facts!
This would be an easy print-and-go activity for a math center or a good "I'm finished" activity. It's also great for the weird holidays and half-days where you need a meaningful time filler. To teach students collaboration, have them work on a comic as partners! This would also be a great add-in to an interactive notebook, or as an enrichment for gifted learners.
I created the sevens to use with fourth grade extended day students, and am excited to finally release this update with two more sets of facts!! Please let me know if you'd like any other fact sets to be created. Enjoy!
