Here is an engaging Game Over multiplication fact flashcard game that is easily differentiated and that students LOVE! Print it out on cardstock, cut on the dotted line, and PLAY! You're students will beg to keep playing. My students have even asked for their own deck to take home!

The goal is to collect the most cards. The game ends when someone draws the Game Over card.

It is helpful to group students with like abilities together. This makes it so you can tailor each deck with the fact flashcards they are ready to learn. I like to include 12-24 flashcards they have mastered and around 5 they are currently learning (the research-based folding-in technique).

I also like to use this as an opportunity for students to practice turn-taking, dealing with frustration, and interacting appropriately with others. We go over behavioral expectations before playing.

These games are great for groups of 2-4. Use them during centers, for inside recess, and they can even be sent home as homework!
