Kapow is a small group game for practicing multiplication facts. It's simple to learn and very fun to play! Here's how:
After placing all of the cards into a bag or container, students take turns pulling a card and solving the multiplication problem. If it's solved correctly, they keep the card. If not, it goes back in the bag. If a player pulls a KAPOW! card, he must pass all of his cards to the next player. Students keep playing until all cards have been pulled. When the bag is empty, the player with the most cards is the winner.
This is the multiplication edition of this game and includes all multiplication facts from 2x1 through 9x12. Once students understand the rules, they can play independently. Makes a great activity for math centers!
