Students who have good math fact fluency are better able to solve higher level multiplication and division problems with greater accuracy and confidence.
This file includes sets of multiplication flashcards for facts 1-12. My students work with these cards for short bursts of time frequently over the course of many weeks. This distributed practice of the multiplication facts helps them with their automaticity and speed. Students create the cards by cutting them out. Together we write the products on the backside. We discuss the patterns we notice. Along with the flashcards, students work on representing these facts with models such as in an array, set and number line. The practice pages that are included in this set also focus on problem solving and patterning.
