Multiplication “Musical Chair Style” Multiply the room, who said games were just for the little kids! Our older students love getting up and moving around the room playing these games.
Place all of the multiplication problems in a hat. Set up your chairs back to back. Have your students walk around the chairs to music. When the music stops have them sit in a chair one person should be left standing. Have them pick a number problem flower from the hat and they must answer it. If they get it wrong, they have to sit out the rest of the game. If they get it right ,they may stay in the game. Continue to take chairs away as students get “Out”. Give out a prize to the winner or winners.
You will be surprised at how much your “older” students will love playing these games. Not only do they get up and move around, they are reviewing, learning and having fun too.
