DESCRIPTION: This product is a card game using 90 cards to make 9 sets of the multiples. Once students master learning the multiples, they are well on their way to mastering multiplication and division. It is a fun game that actively engages students. It can be adapted to address various levels of learning. It can be competitive or non-competitive.

DIRECTIONS:
1. Print out the file on regular copy paper.
2. The copies should then be made front to back. The skip counting guides will then be on the back of each card.
3. Laminate.
4. Cut out the cards. Each page will have 9 cards.
5. The entire deck of cards will have 90 cards or 9 sets of multiples.

HOW TO PLAY:
1. Spread the cards out face up.
2. The purpose of the game is to collect the multiples in order until there are no cards left on the table.
3. The activity can be played individually, with partners, or in small groups.
4. Start with “0” and collect all the multiples. When you have made a SET, place it aside with the back of the card (with skip counting guides) showing. (EX. 0, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12, 14, 16, 18)
5. When all nine sets are collected the game is over. The player with the most sets wins.

VARIATIONS:
1. Teacher demonstrates how to collect the first set.
2. Two players would collect 1-4 sets each as practice. Teacher would return the first set and three players would collect 3 sets each. Four players would collect two sets each.
3. Players can contest each other to see who could get the most sets.
4. Players can play the game with a predetermined number of sets allowed.
5. If more than one set is made, two teams can contest to see who finishes first.
6. Incomplete sets, where a multiple has not been collected, or an incorrect card has been chosen will usually be evident by cards left on the table or the inability to complete sets. When discovered, these sets can be returned to the table for continued play.
7. Always start with “0”. If there is no “0”, someone else will need the cards left on table.
