This game is a fun, hands-on activity that engages students as they practice multiplying one-digit by two-digit numbers.
This activity could easily be used in small group instruction, as a supplement to your math curriculum, as a fast finisher activity, or to differentiate your instruction. No matter how you use it, your students are sure to have fun! My students love playing this game and yours will too!
There are three levels of games for differentiation:
game 1: one-digit by two-digit multiplication without regrouping
game 2: one-digit by two-digit multiplication with regrouping
game 3: one-digit by two-digit multiplication with and without regrouping
Students roll the dice and multiply the numbers together. If his/her product is on the board, he/she covers it with a counter. The first player to cover four numbers in a row is the winner.
