Included in this file, you’ll find games that address the Common Core State Standards for Grade Three Math. The file is aligned to the following standard:
Fluently multiply and divide within 100, using strategies such as the relationship between multiplication and division (e.g., knowing that 8 × 5 = 40, one knows 40 ÷ 5 = 8) or properties of operations. By the end of Grade 3, know from memory all products of two one-digit numbers.
In this file, you’ll find games for practicing math fact fluency. Specifically, the games focus on two of the tougher multiplication factors to memorize -- 6 & 8. Each game has a blackline master and color version.
I noticed that while my third graders understood the concept of multiplication, we rarely had the time needed in our packed school day to practice fluency. Solution: I started using these for weekly homework and lunchtime games. It made a huge difference! I hope they help in your classroom, as well!
