Multiplication Go - Fish
Student Expectation 3.4F: recall facts to multiply up to 10 by 10 with automaticity and recall the corresponding division facts.
Before you begin:
Copy, laminate, and cut out a set of Go – Fish cards for each group.
Rules and Procedures:
Place Students in groups of 2 - 4 players.
Have students deal the cards out until there are no cards left.
Each student will look at the hand he/she was dealt and place any pairs found in his/her hand on the table.
A pair consists of the multiplication sentence on one card and the correct answer to that sentence on the other card.
Students will then begin playing by having the first player draw a card from any player they would like.
If a card is drawn that will make a match with a card in his/her hand, the student lays the pair on the table. If not, it is added to the hand he/she was dealt. Either way, it is the next player’s turn.
The winner is the player with the most matches after all cards are played.
