Description
Practice the multiplication times tables with this fast-paced memorisation game.
Designed for a small group of 1-4 players, this multiplication madness game can be used to practice either a single times table (e.g. 3x) or all of the times tables from 1-12.
In addition to this printable you will need a timer or stopwatch, 1 marker per player, counters or buttons and 2 x dice.
How to play...
To practice a single table:
1. Place a number in the middle of the circle. EG: if you are practicing 3 x tables place the number 3 in the centre.
2. Each placer places a marker anywhere on the circle and the timer is set to two minutes per player. EG: for three players set the timer to 6 minutes.
3. Player 1 rolls the dice and then moves their marker the number of places indicated by the dice.
4. Times the number of the space you land on by the number in the centre of the circle. Eg: if you land on number 11 and there is a 3 in the centre you will need to work out the answer to 3 x 11. If the player knows the answer they take a counter, if they don't know the answer or need to look it up they miss out on a counter.
5. The winner is the player with the most counters when the time limit is up.
Game 2 - practice all times tables from 1-12
This game is the same as above only instead of using a number in the centre of the circle multiply the number rolled on the dice by the number you have landed on on the game board.
For durability over time it is recommended to laminate the game board.
This product includes a printable set of instructions and the game board with number squares to cut out.
