This is a great incentive to get your kiddos to memorize their multiplication facts. The facts are broken down into sets to memorize. After each set the student earns part of a banana split, so that after they have memorized all of their facts they get to eat one! The sets are organized not by multiplication number, but by difficulty of memorization so that the students are forced to memorize the tough to remember facts such as 7x8 and 6x7 right off the bat. I give my students a quiz with about 20 problems that appear on that set and they have 2 minutes to complete the 20 problems. Once they have completed all 20 problems within the two minutes correctly then they get to move on to the next set.
