Multiplication Nation Workbook—Provides structured supplemental practice to further increase multiplication success.. The workbook is set up with a practice component and assessment component for each multiple, which includes the following:
Practice Component

• Practice Pages 3 sets /multiple
• Tri-Multiple Practice
• Cumulative Review

Skip Counting Practice Page—After students are introduced to a new song they
are to return to their seats and write the number sequences five times each.

Practice Sets 1-3 Each Practice set includes 36 problems; 6 rows of 6 problems.The Practice pages provides practice with the select multiples (whatever multiple you are working on) and depending on the row will only multiply the select multiple up to a certain number. For explanatory purposes, our select multiple will be (9).

necessary repetition that fosters success.

Set 1 Practice
Row 1 Select Multiple x multiples 1 to 3 (9 x 1 ) (9 x 2) (9 X 3)
Row 2 Select Multiple x multiples 1 to 3 (9 x 4 ) (9 x 5) (9 X 6)
Row 3 Select Multiple x multiples 1 to 6 (9 x 7 ) (9 x8) (9 X9)
Row 4 Select Multiple x multiple 1 to 6 (9 x10 ) (9 x11) (9 X12)
Rows5 and 6—Random practice with select multiples by all multiples to twelve

Set 3 Practice Random practice

Tri Multiple Practice—after students have reviewed three multiples , they receive random practice on the last three multiples they’ve learned.

Cumulative Practice—after students have gone through the entire program and learned all multiples , there is a cumulative review. This is review is simply random practice wit all multiples

Assessment Component

Multiplication Nation Assessment Component—is great tool used to assess the students learning and the effectiveness of the program. It includes
• Pretest for each multiple,
• Post-test for each multiple
• Tri-Multiple Test
• Test Taking Affirmations

Pretest—are given before beginning a new table. These tests are given as a means to establish a baseline and show student growth once new tables are learned. These tests are timed and are given on Day 1.
o Grade K & 1 –Unlimited
o Grade 2 2minutes 30 seconds
o Grade 3 2 minutes
o Grade 4 1 minute

Post Test—These tests are given after students have learned their new song for the week. Teacher is to compare pretest to posttest to show total gain. Share total gain with students. Let them use their results as motivation to improve their scores.

NOTE: In addition to rewarding kids with high scores, reward students who had tremendous gain between pre-test and post-tests.

Tri-Multiple Test—These assessments are administered after teacher covers every three tables, as a means to review multiple tables covered. Give students 4 minutes to complete this assessment.


Test Taking Affirmations—These affirmations reinforce ability of self to achieve. Teaching kids about affirmations is great way for kids to speak positive events into their lives.
