These multiplication puzzles can be used in a variety of ways in your classroom. The problems are using numbers 1-12 which the exception of the 1x__ rule in which you may see 1 times larger numbers.
You can pass out the puzzle pieces to each student or put them on their desks before they enter the room. Then, students find their partner based on the match for their card.
Use it as a whole class review activity in which each student gets one puzzle piece and must find their partner until all puzzles are matched. Then mix the puzzle pieces and do it again! These could also be good for an independent rotation activity for students who need basic math fact review!
They can be used at a variety of times throughout the day, whether it’s partnering up for a quick sharing activity, or a longer assignment. It is a great way to integrate a little academic content and build classroom community as kids can work with new partners all the time.
