Task cards are a fun way to get your students practicing multiplication of one and two digit numbers! This set includes 16 cards ranging from multiplying two-digit numbers by one-digit numbers to multiplying three-digit numbers by two-digit numbers. There are two sets included: one that includes QR codes and one without QR codes.
To use the QR codes, your students simply scan the code using any device with a QR reader (iPad, iPod, tablets, etc.) and the answer will pop up. The recording sheet includes a spot for your students to check whether their answer was right or not. If it's not correct, I ask my students to find and highlight their mistake and correct their work. This provides on-the-spot feedback and helps students analyze their mistakes.
Task cards are a favorite in my classroom because of their versatility and ease of use!
*They make a great activity for math centers/stations.
*You can also use to play "Scoot!". Place one card on each student's desk. Give each student a recording sheet. When I say "go" they work to solve the problem. When I say "scoot!" they get up and move to the next desk and solve the next problem. (I add music during the transition to make moving around a bit more fun!).
*Tape the cards around the room and have your students move around the room and solve the problems with a partner. They can use a device to check their work or check with their partner as they work together to complete the problems.
Included in this set:
*16 multiplication task cards with QR codes
*16 multiplication task cards without QR codes
*student recording sheet (with self-check component for QR codes)
*student recording sheet (without the self-check component)
