Are you introducing students to multiplication? Use this resource to help build conceptual understanding of multiplication! Packet includes 22 no-prep printable practice sheets! Multiple opportunities to practice and reinforce the concrete concept of multiplication. Great for homework, morning work, group activities, seatwork, etc.
NOTE! These are the same practice sheets from my (much) larger "Multiplication for Beginners: an Array of Activities" product. Do not purchase if you have that product :)
22 black and white printable practice sheets to introduce, build, and reinforce a conceptual understanding of multiplication! This resource is designed to build a foundation for multiplication with second and third grade students. The activities can also be used as an intervention for older students still struggling with the concept of multiplication.
The packet begins with concrete representations of multiplication (arrays, drawings of equal groups, repeated addition) before finally introducing and providing practice with multiplication equations (e.g. 4x3) to represent problems. The numbers used in this packet are sums & products of the factors 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, with the largest problem covered being 6X6=36. The focus of the packet is to build a concrete foundation for multiplication before working with larger numbers or memorizing multiplication facts.
