Students will practice identifying the commutative, associative, identity, and zero property of multiplication.
What you need to do to prepare: print scavenger hunt posters (use cardstock and laminate to make them more durable) and hang posters around your classroom. Then, copy the scavenger hunt worksheet for each student.
1. Students will go to one of the posters hanging around the room. (It doesn't matter which poster they begin with.) Students should spread out and not all start at the same poster.
2. Students will read the question (the bottom section) of the poster and record the answer on their worksheet int he box that matches the picture on the poster.
3. Students will go around the room and search for that answer (the top section in red).
4. Students will continue to answer questions and search for answers until they have answered all of the questions and returned to the poster they began at.
