I've been using these multiplication PowerPoint Presentations for the last few years and I’ve seen them work. Because it’s a PowerPoint presentation, it will work on your Promethean Board or SmartBoard. It also works well as a Math Center activity for a small group. I keep it going during silent work, dismissal time, and even before morning announcements. It’s amazing how quiet the classroom stays. It’s almost as if the kids are competing against themselves.
I have the sound set to something simple. Some kids need that clue to make them stay tuned. However, there are days when I don’t want to hear it at all. You can easily turn off the sound by going to Animations and changing the Transition Sound to “No Sound”.
The slideshow is timed and set to loop, so all you have to do is start the show. It automatically moves through the slides and starts over each time it reaches the last slide. This allows you start the slideshow and take care of other things while your students get the practice they need.
This has been a HUGE help in starting my day off smoothly or managing transition times! Before you know it, the students are answering before the answer slide comes up and feeling great about their abilities.
This includes Power Point presentation (all set up and ready to go).
