2nd-5th grade students can play this simple game to practice their multiplication facts. After rolling two dice, a student multiplies the numbers on the dice and then graphs the answer. Students are likely to see that numbers in the center of the graph will appear more often. Reasoning will allow them to realize that there is only one way to make the lowest and highest numbers on the graph (ie 1 x 1 = 1 and 6 x 6 = 36) but more than one way to make others (6 x 2 = 12 and 3 x 4 = 12). Perfect for a lesson follow-up, individual work, or a math center.
