This product was created as a way to make memorizing multiplication facts more engaging. Playing "Around the World" is not always the best option for learners who struggle or have anxiety about competitive games. In Multiplication SLAP, all students get the chance to answer every multiplication problem posed to them. Some students will be quicker, but the teacher controls how much time students are given to choose the correct answer. It also removes the embarassment of a student not knowing the correct answer as the other students are so engaged in their own responses that the teacher is the one who is able to quickly see who knows these facts and who doesn't. The problems in this game are limited to products that have multiple facts to accompany them. It uses the products: 12, 16, 18, 20, and 24.
I made a rudimentary version of this game for my math students one day, and they begged to play it again. And so, this nicer version was created.
