Description
Sometimes we just have to make math fun for our students! Here's your chance - call the skip counting we do for multiplication the "Secret Codes", and kids will want to memorize them!
Giving students a strategy for memorization is what this is all about. Hang the banners around the room. Give each student their own set of bookmarks, connected with a brad or staple.
This is just one simple scaffold that can help you to introduce multiplication and lead to the fluency memorization that is required in third grade by the Common Core State Standards.
