LYRICS:

Those 8 times tables,
I can’t wait,
Learning 8’s makes me feel great!
I’m learning my 8’s,
It’s making me feel so great!

8 X 1 = 8
8 X 2 = 16
8 X 3 = 24
8 X 4 = 32

Those 8 times tables,
I can’t wait,
Learning 8’s makes me feel great!
I’m learning my 8’s,
It’s making me feel so great!

Octagons have 8 sides,
so if you have 5 octagons, you have 8 x 5, or 40 sides!

8 X 5 = 40
8 X 6 = 48
8 X 7 = 56
8 X 8 = 64

8-16-24-32-40
48-56-64-72-80

8-16-24-32-40
48-56-64-72-80-88-96

8 X 9 = 72
8 X 10 = 80
8 X 11 = 88
8 X 12 = 96

So let’s say you go on a hike and find 4 spiders.
You know that spiders don’t have 6 legs like insects, they’re arachnids and have 8 legs!
You can use your 8 times facts to figure out how many legs there are in all.
8 legs x 4 spiders is 32 legs.
Can you think of any other things that come in groups of 8?
