These task cards (multiplication game) was specifically created for 3rd grade. It can be used for 4th and 5th grade students who are struggling with multiplication. This is a perfect game to be used during math centers and/or small group instruction.

It is kid-friendly, of course, and it will just help students target multiplication and problem-solving skills.

Parents can use this game at home, too. It is essential that students develop automaticity with multiplication. In the coming years, they will be working with division, geometry and problem solving. Multiplication plays a big role in that. If they can multiply fluently, they will be able to grasp concepts that are much more challenging.

combined or arranged in arrays up to 10 by 10

3.4E Represent multiplication facts by using a variety of approaches such as repeated

addition, equal-sized groups arrays, area models, equal jumps on a number line

and skip counting

3.4F Recall facts to multiply up to 10 by 10 with automaticity

3.4G Use strategies and algorithms, including the standard algorithm, to multiply a

two-digit number by a one-digit number. Strategies may include mental math,

partial products and the commutative, associative and distributive properties
