This activity includes 12 Around the Room Cards and a student recording sheet.
Print the cards out on card-stock or laminate, then tape the cards randomly around the classroom. Students can work in pairs or individually and use the recording sheet to solve the problems around the room.
This activity hits almost all of the Common Core Standards that align with multiplication and division. Students are required to use strategies such as tape diagrams, arrays, number bonds, commutative facts, and will be asked to generate explanations on multiplication and division.
Once the activity is completed, you can put these cards in a math station for reinforcement.
