In this packet, you will find a sorting/matching activity for both multiplication and division words that can be used together or separately. The students have to make posters for each operation where they label parts of a number sentence and have to use the vocabulary words to explain what the words mean and how they work together. This forces them to think deeply about the words and their meaning. It is hard to continue working on multiplication and division if you don't first understand what they mean and the associated words mean. I have also included a true or false worksheet and a quick matching assessment that has two versions. One version is modified with less choices. At the end, there are some notes for how I used these activities in my classroom but I think they can easily be adapted.
