Product Description
It's no secret that word problems prove to be a difficult feat for many students. Determining if a word problem should be solved with division or multiplication can be tricky. I decided to create this document to assist my students who were struggling with interchanging the operations. With these activities, students are required to solve a word problem using both multiplication and division. Students are then prompted to determine if their answer is a reasonable solution to the word problem, requiring students to reflect on their answer. Once they assess they reasonability, they can determine which operation is appropriate for the word problem.
