This video lesson is aligned to Lesson 2.6 in the Grade 4 Go Math on Multiplying Using Expanded Form. This video is 7 minutes 40 seconds in length. In this lesson, students write the greater factor of a multiplication problem in expanded form starting with the greatest place; use the distributive property to record partial products; and find the product by adding the partial products. By using the area model and expanded form, students are able to gain a deeper understanding of the multiplication process.
