Product Description
Are students making common errors when multiplying whole numbers using the area model for multiplication of whole numbers and making common errors? With these differentiated multiplication cards with error analysis task cards, students identify one error on each card and multiply whole numbers to find the correct product. {Check out all of the multiplication sets included! These are perfect for instant differentiation.}

I've provided explanations of the common errors I've observed and incorporated into the task cards to help students identify and correct the types of errors they may be making with the area model.

For a limited time, this task card set includes a FREE UPGRADE to a self-checking, digital version hosted at Boom Learning℠. Grab it now and the task card set will remain in your Boom Learning library forever!

This set of 80 task cards includes 16 cards for each of the following levels of multiplication:
2 digit by 1 digit
3 digit by 1 digit
4 digit by 1 digit
2 digit by 2 digit
3 digit by 2 digit

I've included a variety of cards on these levels to allow you to differentiate your error analysis practice. These are perfect for classrooms with students on different levels.

* All answer keys and a student recording sheet are included!

Use these cards for whole group error analysis on an interactive whiteboard or using your document camera and for independent practice to help students learn to look at their own work more objectively and to help them correct any common errors they have internalized.
