Students can practice the area model with the four examples per page. The top two problems model how to set up the area model and the second two problems of each page doesn't. I used these under dry erase sheets at centers.

This is a center that accompanies the Algorithm Center. It shows how to solve a two-digit by one digit multiplication fact by using repeated addition. I think this is important to still show the concept behind multiplying larger numbers and as a way for students to check their own answers after trying to solve with the algorithm.

This is a center that also goes well with these centers. It is the Multiplying a two digit by one digit problem with the traditional algorithm. It is valuable to teach this alongside other ways that show the steps and logic behind it like the repeated addition and area models.
