Product Description
This collection of worksheets is very useful for practice with the basic multiplication facts (2x table- 9x table) and to help children become proficient in computing with the traditional algorithm as well as with partial products.

Student pages 3-98 provide ample opportunities to apply multiplication fact knowledge in computing answers using the traditional method and the partial products method.

Each method (traditional and partial products) is thoroughly explained with many demonstrations and step by step scaffolding.

Furthermore, the multiplication facts that appear in the examples are introduced incrementally so that they overlap and new facts are built upon those already done.

This product is a wonderful packet for guided math, RTI, math centers, and homework.
The information is easy to understand and may help to clear up many questions one may have about the way math is being taught today. If partial products is being taught, this would be a good guide for students and parents alike.

Each method has its merits.
The traditional method is more practical for efficiency and convenience in computations.
The partial products method eliminates “carrying” and openly demonstrates the true value of the digits being multiplied.
It is to the child’s advantage to be familiar with both.
